There is also a handwritten history (one page, front and back) of the Presbytery that explains the connection between Washington College, Lexington Presbyterian Church, and the Presbytery, which was written circa 1824.

Leyburn used this notebook to teach his class at the Lexington (Va.) Presbyterian Church from October 2, 1949 to the final class of the year on May 28, 1950.
