Biography

The 7th South Carolina Infantry Battalion, also known as Nelson's Rifles and Enfield's Rifles, was formed January 1862. Throughout the war it saw action at Drewery's Bluff, Cold Harbor, and the siege of Petersburg, VA. The battalion was located in North Carolina at the end of the war.
