This file contains an insurance policy for the amount of forty five hundred dollars for a house owned by Judith Bulter between the gates of V.M.I. and Washington and Lee. The insurance company is Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance company, based out of New York City in the United States branch.
Letter from John W. Whitehead to Mr. and Mrs. Gottwald, 1983-08-30
Letter discusses an article Whitehead discovered while in Houston regarding a VMI Cadet Christopher G. Caplice and his commitment to honor. Whitehead found the article uplifting and sent it to General Walber (spelling questionable). Whitehead was in Houston following his son's stroke in August of that year.

This collection consists of a souvenir calendar of Lexington, Va. for 1901. It includes images of Washington and Lee, Virginia Military Institute, and Recumbant Lee statue by Edward V. Valentine.
The Charity Nightingales, 1915 - 1931
This file consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, and programs of The Charity Nightingales. It is mostly copies of items from Box 1 that were used for Alex's lecture at VMI. The folder also includes materials on the McCormick Celebration in 1931, Oscar dePreist Lecture by Alex Wood in 1931, band booking for a Washington and Lee University dance, and a "New Glory Song" by Revered Holt - including music and vocal contest description for the event in 1915.
