Photograph of plaque possibly by Henry Miley, son of Michael Miley, which was created by Edward Field Sanford in 1916. The plaque reads, 'Charles Francis Adams - Presented by Southern Men in Appreciation of his Friendship for the South and his Noble Tribute to Robert E. Lee.' Adams was the son of John Quincy Adams and gave the keynote address during the Robert E. Lee Centennial Celebration at Washington and Lee University on January 19, 1907.
