Photocopry of newpaper article concerning Anderson, slave of Cyrus McCormick.

This collection includes 35 items relating to a proposal to hang portraits of Cyrus, Leander, and Robert McCormick in the Rockbridge County Courthouse, including a memorandum from Cyrus Bentley II dated January 6, 1912 and copies of memoranda and correspondence from William A. Anderson, William G. McDowell, and other parties.

File includes a medal - Centennial of the Reaper, 1831-1931; a booklet entitled McCormick Celebration, September 25, 1931; a color brochure of the McCormick Farm; a biography from the McCormick International Harvester Collection Archives; and two copies of the Iron Worker featuring an article entitled, "Walnut Grove--Where Farm Mechanization Began."

This collection consists of correspondence about the McCormick Endowment at Washington and Lee university, farm portfolios, material about the dedication of the McCormick Library and the McCormick celebration at W&L. Also included is genealogical material.
