Content Description This collection consists of a pocket sized leather bound notebook used initially by William A. Anderson, Orderly or First Sergeant of the 'Liberty Hall Volunteers,' Washington College's military company organized in April 1861 for service in the Confederate army. The notebook was used to keep the daily rolls of the company and documents such things as absences, sick lists, accoutrement details, and police lists of its original members.
