Henry Smith's addresses to the college's "John Marshall Society" on Sept. 24, 1841; "Total Abstinence Society" on Sept. 23, 1842; a speech on "Patriotism" in celebration of George Washington's birthday as a representative of the "Rockbridge Union Volunteers" in 1842; and a speech on "Moral Education" given on Commencement Day, 1842.

This collection consists of a full plate mounted albumen photograph of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The photograph was inscribed to Benson J. Lossing by General William Reading Montgomery between 1864 and 1871. The handwritten inscription mentions history of Christ Church, including George Washington's pew being intact. A second inscription reads 'Photograph By Hartman Marshall House Alexandria, Va.'

Tucker Family Papers

Leaves from folio ledger (35 leaves) containing copies of inventories and proposed division of the Daniel Parke Custis estate submitted to the General Court, October 1759, and guardianship accounts for Martha Parke and John Parke Custis in George Washington's hand, 1761-1773. Includes five draft inserted leaves and estate accounts for Augustine Washington in hand of Thomas Jett, 1766-1771 (6 leaves).
