This collection consists of three scrapbooks and sets of photographs taken by Raymond J. Kirby. The scrapbooks contain photographs and newspaper clippings related to the flooding that occurred as a result of Hurricane Camille in August 1969. The photographs document damage from both Rockbridge and Nelson Counties and the City of Lexington. The collection also includes approximately 170 photographs of the construction of the Route 11 corridor bypass around Lexington, Virginia.

This folder contains a report on Red House, a home near Fairfield on the west side of Route 11. The report covers the history of the house and its inhabitants, including the McDowells, the Treavys, the Laymans and the Alexanders; information about the physical house, landscaping, and the McDowell Burying Ground, farm, and orchard; and photographs of the house and surrounding land. Also contained is a newspaper (Lexington Gazette) article about Red House and the McDowells.

Reverend Robert S. Clark asks for the rights to sell Lee's proposed history of the American Civil War throughout Mississippi. The letter includes five signatures of references for Reverend Clark - some of whom identify themselves as former Confederate soldiers and one, George Paul Turner, the editor of the "National Star" newspaper of Mississippi.
