Some items of note include propaganda leaflets in a variety of languages including German and Japanese, documents from various government agencies including the Office of War Information, and some ephemeral materials used as propaganda during the war.

Riegel's collection of government reports center around the effectiveness in developing and implementing propaganda addressed to the Axis powers and neutral and liberated countries. Reports tend to focus on one aspect of propaganda ranging from understanding the target audiences culture, to forms of counterpropaganda used by enemy forces.
