Scope and Contents The heirs of James Dougherty were William, Daniel, and Rebecca Doty. The being sold was in two tracts totalling about one hundred acres along Mill Creek near the "great road between Lexington and Staunton, in Rockbridge County, Virginia. The tract was previously owned by Philip Hoyleman (Hileman). James Whiteside and Mary Daugherty are also mentioned in the indenture.
