Wood's copy of Ellis Nathaniel Zuckerman's sociology term paper at Washington and Lee University entitled "A Study of the Status of Negroes in the Social Arrangements of Lexington, Virginia." The paper discusses debates over usage of the local hospital, "areas of contention" between Black and white residents, and dated descriptions of Black residents and their professions and education.
