Ebenezer Mitchell Walden Correspondence
This collection consists of three letters written by E. M. Walden from various Confederate States of America camps (near Wilmington, NC; Kinston, NC; and Richmond, VA) to his sister. He provides her with updates on CSA military activities and mentions General Sherman's raid in Georgia. The letters are dated June 13, 1863, Dec. 3, 1864, and Jan. 20, 1865.

This collection consists of a photograph of a river scene of 'Great Falls' of James River at Richmond, Virginia. There is a stone wall on the far side of the river in the background, which is evidence of a former canal. The second photograph is of the ca. 1833 engraving of the painting 'Richmond, from the hill above the waterworks' by George Cooke.
