This collection includes 16 letters from Dull to his wife, written while serving, first in the valley, then in eastern Virginia near Petersburg, with the Stonewall Brigade, 5th Division, in the army of the Confederate States of America; a photograph; and printed genealogy of the Koiner family.

The negative was sleeved in an envelope with a note for 'Miss Helen' from Charles Tolley that reads: 'This is a negative of the piano in the Museum. If you feel that you could ever use it, you may keep it'.

The postcard is of the new structure of the Ann Smith Academy c.1910, which is now the Washington and Lee Chi Psi Fraternity house.

Lossing by General William Reading Montgomery between 1864 and 1871. The handwritten inscription mentions history of Christ Church, including George Washington's pew being intact. A second inscription reads 'Photograph By Hartman Marshall House Alexandria, Va.'
