Scope and Contents This collection consists of a letter from Ripley while he was at Headquarters in the Bay of St. Louis to Colonel Butler. Ripley asks Butler to speak to Maj. General Jackson on his behalf. Butler wrote on the back of the letter the date he received it, the date he answered, and that the letter was to be submitted to the Major General upon his return. There is also a photocopy of the letter.
