Edmondson Family Papers
This collection contains letters and receipts of Colonel James Kerr Edmondson, a Lexington, Virginia lawyer, judge and mayor, and of his wife, Emily Jane Taylor Edmondson. Also included are Edmondson's letters to his wife during the Civil War, while he was an officer in the Stonewall Brigade. Their are some items from their relations, the Monroes and Penicks of Lexington.

John Newton Lyle unpublished typescripts
This collection is a narrative written by John Newton Lyle, who was a member of the Liberty Hall Volunteers and Stonewall Jackson Brigade during the American Civil War. Includes 'Sketches found in a Confederate veterans's desk' (1913) and an undated supplement 'Stonewall Jackson's Guard'.
John Paul Dull Papers
This collection includes 16 letters from Dull to his wife, written while serving, first in the valley, then in eastern Virginia near Petersburg, with the Stonewall Brigade, 5th Division, in the army of the Confederate States of America; a photograph; and printed genealogy of the Koiner family.

Randolph T. Shields Collection
This collection includes American Civil War recollections of Shields' maternal grandfather, Coupland Randolph Page, including his service with the Liberty Hall Volunteers, the Stonewall Brigade, and the Battle of Gettysburg. In addition, papers contain significant documents about members of the Tucker family, including John Randolph Tucker and Judge Henry St. George Tucker.
William George McDowell Papers
This collection includes manuscript and typecript sketches of 41 Washington and Lee Alumni who served in the American Civil War. The materials were compiled for a proposed memorial volume which was never completed. Included are letters to McDowell from veterans, descendants of veterans, and associates answering his request for information.
