The Effinger School collection consists of the compiled research of Clinton Lee Anderson and Henry A. Hatcher, co-authors of "Celebrate Effinger, 1922-2010" their published history of the Effinger School in the Collierstown vicinity of Rockbridge County, Virginia. Included within the collection are various records, publications, printed matter from the school, school newspapers, alumni records, photographs, and general history of the school.
Fork Union Military Academy Yearbook
This collection consists of a single Fork Union Academy Yearbook, 1907-1908. The yearbook contains the photographs and information on the student body at that time. Included within this student body is Francis P. Gaines, who would later become president of Washington and Lee University.
Henry Donald Campbell Papers
This collection includes 20 speeches and copies of letters and papers collected on R. E. Lee's administration of Washington College, 1865-1870.

This broadside titled 'Home School for Young Boys, Grace Church Rectory, Lexington, Va.' by Reverend William Nelson Pendleton and Mrs. General Edwin G. Lee, who was his widowed daughter, provides information about the upcoming semester at their school.
Isaac Newton Campbell Notebook
Isaac Newton Campbell kept this notebook while a student at Washington and Lee University and at Campbell's Divinity School. It consists primarily of his notes on Greek grammar from Professor James Jones White's class at Washington and Lee and notes on biblical history from T.E. Peck's classes at divinity school. Includes a poem about Professor White.
J. Henry Smith Speeches
This collection consists of Washington College student J. Henry Smith's addresses to the college's "John Marshall Society" on Sept. 24, 1841; "Total Abstinence Society" on Sept. 23, 1842; a speech on "Patriotism" in celebration of George Washington's birthday as a representative of the "Rockbridge Union Volunteers" in 1842; and a speech on "Moral Education" given on Commencement Day, 1842.
Jefferson Davis Futch Collection
This collection primarily contains correspondence and lectures of Jefferson Davis Futch. It also contains an undated audiorecording of Ward Briggs speaking about James Graham Leyburn. We believe this speech was given at an alumni event on the subject of liberal arts education and Greek philosophy.
McCormick Family Collection
This collection consists of correspondence about the McCormick Endowment at Washington and Lee university, farm portfolios, material about the dedication of the McCormick Library and the McCormick celebration at W&L. Also included is genealogical material.
